Information about PHP cannot be obtained due to invalid IIS configuration

Dec 10, 2010 at 3:16 AM

Hey there,

I'm getting the error, "Information about PHP cannot be obtained due to invalid IIS configuration" when I launch the PHP manager. I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

Is this a permissions issue?

This can happen due to the following reasons:

1. php.ini file is missing
2. the <fastcgi> section in applicationhost.config is missing
3. the handler mapping for php points to an incorrect path to php-cgi.exe

I would suggest to try the following:
1. Remove the content of the <fastcgi> section in applicationHost.config
2. Remove all the IIS handler mappings for PHP
3. Re-register PHP by using PHP manager.
